FDL Fencing
 

Each quarter the Club meets twice a week, on Monday and Wednesday, at the Magnolia Community Center .
Beginning & Intermediate classes start at 7:00 pm and last approximately 1 hour.
Open fencing for experienced fencers begins at 6:30 pm and lasts until the Center closes at 9:00 pm.

12 weeks of instruction

Beginning Foil Fencing Class

If you have never fenced before, this is the class for you.
Basic fencing equipment for the class will be provided.
However, you will need to wear long pants (sweats or warm-ups recommended) and
court or running shoes.  Street shoes are not allowed.
Enrollment is limited to ages 12 and up, with a maximum of 12 students
 

Intermediate Foil Fencing Class

If you have completed our beginning class, this is the next step.
Or, if you have had basic instruction elsewhere you may take this class with instructor's permission.
Intermediate fencers are expected to have their own basic equipment;
mask, jacket, plastron, glove, knickers or long pants, and practice foil.
However, we can rent a basic kit for $30.
Enrollment is limited to ages 12 and up, with a maximum of 12 students
 

Open Fencing

Experienced fencers must have all their own equipment and wear appropriate fencing attire.
This includes mask, jacket, plastron, knickers or long pants, glove and electric gear.
We usually have one or two electric strips set up and all weapons are welcome.
There are no enrollment limits for Open fencing.
 

We offer a single fee for either of the fencing classes or open fencing.
When you show up at the Center on January 7th, register for the appropriate section and pay the single fee.

Winter Quarter Fee is $75
